Relax, you're among friends!

About your hosts

In their years together, Dean and Erica have traveled many places. Their adventures have led them through the jungles of Brazil, they’ve camped on safari in Africa and trekked through Europe, but most of all, they have enjoyed exploring this beautiful province of British Columbia. They have camped and fished their way along the Coast, throughout the Cariboo and the Okanagan but were somehow always drawn back to the beauty of the Kootenays. When they decided to move to TaTa Creek it was because this was the one place that truly had it all. All the things they loved to do, year round and all in close proximity.

They also wanted a place where all their family and friends would want to come and visit. The Kimberley/Cranbrook area was perfect, there was something here for everyone, from relaxing in front of a cozy fire and watching the wildlife out the window to enjoying any outdoor activity you could possible imagine.

Dean and Erica enjoy hiking with their German Shepherd “Odin” or taking him for a good run with the ATVs. They love skiing, skating on Wasa Lake in the winters and don’t forget a nice soak in one of the many naturally occurring hot springs! Fishing the many rivers and lakes, golfing, swimming in the summers, endless wildlife viewing and the Rocky Mountains never disappoint.

Erica's big catch.Dean is a licsensed angling guide and has been an avid sportsman/outdoorsman all his life. He is also an amateur photographer and has taken many pictures from around the world and is eagerly expanding his repertoire with the abundance of wildlife and beauty here in the East Kootenay & Columbia Valley. He has worked in the service industry for over 20 years and takes great pride in providing the utmost in customer service and satisfaction.

Erica has been a professional musician for over 25 years and she’s been known to get people singing from time to time! She is fluent in speaking German and is enjoying the opportunity to converse more in Kimberley’s Alpine village.

Both Dean and Erica enjoy cooking. Dean’s Italian heritage has provided him with some of “Nona’s recipes and Erica learned in Oma’s kitchen. They also love to entertain and wish to invite you to their home so you can experience your own outdoor adventure.

Their hope is to create lasting memories for all their guests and to leave you with a greater appreciation and of love of the outdoors!
